Live performance with Owen Beverly

Set in an empty Charleston Music Hall we recorded Owen performing a song live with just a microphone and a guitar. Owen is true artist and great songwriter. If you get a chance to see him live make sure you don't miss it. He is constantly writing new material. It's possible you'll never hear the same song twice.

2015 Southern 500 Darlington On It Video

2015 NASCAR Southern 500. 

Interviews with driver Cole Whitt and b-roll for Speed Stick. In Darlington SC.

Update about Cole Whitt at 2015.

It looks like there was a wreck at the Southern 500 involving Chase Elliiot and Cole Whitt after about 4 laps. 

Here is something I found online about the incident. 

Racing in the back of the pack on Lap Front Row Motorsports' Brett Moffitt hit the outside wall at the exit of Turn 2. The contact slowed Moffitt's No. 34 Ford dramatically, causing Cole Whitt to drive right into the back of Moffitt.

Racing tightly behind both cars, Chase Elliott made contact with Whitt's No. 35 Ford, sending it nose first into the inside SAFER barrier.

The incident brought out the first caution of the day, as Whitt was forced behind the wall and later was declared out of the race.

Moffitt and Elliott were able to continue, but had to make multiple pit stops to make repairs.

Sea Rescue TV series

This was a super fun shoot. I shot interviews and B-roll for the TV series "Sea Rescue". It was truly a moving experience to see this nearly 500 lb. Leatherback turtle being released back into the ocean on the Isle of Palms beach. These guys look like dinosaurs. 

Interviews were done with the South Carolina Aquarium staff on location. I ran cameras, lights and audio alone for this job.

Most insane amount of grip gear on one light

This was a video job for photographer John Blais. The gaffer was the talented Matthew Lipton. 

This has to be one of the most insane amount of flags, scrims and grip gear on one light I've ever seen. Arri light. 

The Onion

Pat Black and I were both hired to shoot for the Onion web series. A project supported by Fiat. We shot at the Belmond, McCradys, the Battery and B-roll around Charleston.

Catching a Blowfish

Jim Sonefeld from Hootie and the Blowfish has released his 3rd album of a series. I was enlisted to make another commercial and music video for him. I recorded 2 nights of Hootie and the Blowfish at the Family Circle Cup stadium and captured Jim's solo song for his new album entitled "Love".

New Audio Rig

Recently I've been behind the microphones and headphones on a few shoots. 

On It Video has added a Sound Devices Audio recorder 2 Sennheiser G3 wireless systems and a pair of DPA 4061 microphones for clear and outstanding sound quality. 

Above working a political event at the Curcular Church in Charleston SC.

To ensure the editors had good a sound recording and options in post we ran a wired DPA 4061 lav mic into a Canon C-500 then a Sennheiser G3 and Rode shotgun microphone with blimp into the sound devices recorder.  

Matthew Lipton was the gaffer for the shoot and as always the scenes looked great.
